If you’re a little bored with life and looking for fun things you can do this year, boy do I have some suggestions for you. From a fun trip away, to a dramatic career change, here are my top fun things for you to do this year.

1. Consider a New Career

Are you in love with the work you do? Do you enjoy working for a boss? If the answer is no to either of these questions, it might be time to get out there for yourself. Franchising can be an easy way to start your own business as you’ll be given a blueprint for how to get started. You’re also given the information for all the vendors you’ll need to work with, you’ll be starting with an established brand that already has a loyal customer base. It’s the perfect fusion of doing something for yourself, but also having a decent amount of support along the way. Check out https://www.chucksroadhouse.com/franchising/ for more information.

2. Go on a Wine Tasting Tour

Do you love wine? Sorry that’s a silly question, who doesn’t love wine. I personally love going on wine tasting tours. Obviously the type of tour you can do will depend on the destination you’re going to, but one of my most memorable travel experiences was cycling through Southern New Zealand, near Wanaka, stopping off at all the gorgeous vineyards along the way for tasting menus. It was such a lovely day out and ever since then I’ve been somewhat obsessed with doing wine tasting tours wherever there’s good wine. Check this website for some great wine tasting options.

3. Do Something Extreme

Have you got something top of your bucket list that you keep moving to the bottom? Have you always wanted to go skiing, paragliding, or try out surfing? Why delay it? If not now, then when? The reality is we can always push things off to “one day” but if you’re able and have the spare money, there’s really no better time than now. Make 2019 the year that you cross that one thing that you’ve always wanted to do off your list. I can’t tell you what it is, but I’m sure as you’re reading this you know exactly what it is for you.

4. Visit an Old Friend

If you’re itching for a good reason to pack your bags and head away on a trip, is there anything better than visiting an old friend or a family member you haven’t seen in many years? As I get older, I realise that people matter so much more than ticking new places off a list – although in saying that, it might be worth asking if the friend wants to meet you in an exotic location instead. Either way, I’ve learned that no matter how far away I am from my loved ones, I want to invest time and money into fostering our friendships. After all, the people we love are the most important things to us on the planet. Sometimes years can slide by before we realise it’s been 5 or 10 years since we’ve last seen them, so why not make this year the year of visiting that special friend you haven’t seen in forever? One of the benefits to visiting a friend, is that you might be able to snag a free couch to sleep on, cutting the costs of the trip down considerably!

Life should have a decent amount of fun in it and if you’re feeling a little bored with your life, then pick one of these fun things to do to spice things up.
